The city of Cusco is located in the river valley Huatanay in the southern highlands of Peru. Its name in Quechua, Qosqo, means “navel” or figuratively, “center” or “meeting”, because from Cusco was the capital of the Inca empire or Tahuantisuyo started a vast network of roads (Camino Inca ) bound for four yours or regions that made up the 4 parts of the universe in the Andean world. DAY 1: CITY TOUR
Reception and transfer from the airport to the hotel. DAY 2: SACRED VALLEY
The tour starts picking you up at your hotel between 7:50 am and 8:30 am approximately. DAY 3: WALK TO SALKANTAY / CUSCO – MOLLEPATA
We leave Cusco very early at 5.00 in the morning to the town of Mollepata, arriving at approximately 09 a.m. where we had breakfast We loaded the equipment on mules to start our walk to Cruz Pata. Arriving at 12 pm. where we will have lunch, after a short break we continue our trip to Sora Pampas located at 3,850 m, arriving at 5:30 p.m. for dinner, and the first camp.

DAY 4: SORAYPAMPA – CHAULLAY (D. A. C)
We start the day with a good breakfast at 6:00 am and then start our trek, passing the most difficult part at 7:00 am and going through the place called Pampa Salkantay and then go to the left side of the Humantay mountain, Located next to Salkantay at 12:00 pm we are at the highest point (Salkantay Humantay 4,500 m). On this site see the snow and the glaciers of Salkantay, then, after 1 hour of rest we have lunch in the area called Pampa Huayrac.

DAY 5: CHAULLAY – PLAYA (SAWAYACO) – SANTA TERESA
Upon waking up this day, after our rich breakfast we will continue with our trek, from Santa Teresa we will take a transport through the valley and the Vilcanota river for about 30 minutes to the hydroelectric power station of Machupicchu from this place we will be able to appreciate the Inca citadel. for our lunch, later we will visit the small archaeological rest of the Intihuatana and then continue walking for 10 KM more for three hours, by the train line to the town of Aguas Calientes, where we will rest in a comfortable hostel with hot water and private bathroom and have our dinner in a restaurant.

DAY 6: AGUAS CALIENTES – MACHUPICCHU
The last day we started with breakfast at the hotel, to then have our long-awaited excursion to Machu Picchu, also known as “The Lost City of the Incas”, discovered in 1911 by the American explorer Hiram Bingham. We will visit the ruins around 2 and a half hours, during which our guide will show us the Intihuatana, (or “Picota De Sol), the Temple of the Sun, the Royal Tomb, the House of Priests, the Baths of the Inca and the Temple of the Three Windows: all these places allow us to glimpse back into the past. Time to have lunch At mid-afternoon we will take the train according to our return schedule that will take us back to Poroy and / or Ollantaytambo station. Once there, transfer to the Inti Wasi hotel.

DAY 7: 8:30 am TOUR TO MORAS and Moray

DAY 8: TOUR TO THE SOUTH VALLEY:
This trip starts by picking you up from the hotel around 08:30 am. Then we will go by bus to the south of Cusco, during this trip we can see beautiful landscapes of the Andean mountains. The first stop will be the Tipón archaeological center, ceremonial center Inka where through a stone channel the flow of water from the high peaks of the Pachatusan hill to the lowlands of the valley was controlled.
Later we will visit the Archaeological Complex of Pikillaqta which literally means “city of fleas”. It is an old walled citadel of the Wari Empire, which was one of the most important regional centers of the Wari Culture in its expansion into the city of Cusco.
Finally we will conclude the journey visiting the beautiful Church of Andahuaylillas, little jewel of the Colonial period, also known as ‘The Sistine of America’, inside which is an impressive collection of canvases with gold plated frames and mural paintings, baroque altarpieces , and more. We will be back in the city of Cusco at approximately 2:30 pm.
